Things I learnt from David Bowie

Once I found out David Bowie had died, it was a bit of a shock. He truly meant a lot to me, I didn't know him personally, but boy if I did I would thank him every day for being such an inspiration to me. He taught me so many things that nobody could. I came across David Bowie when I was 12 and was being bullied and he truly changed my outlook on things and taught me to love myself and believe in myself and just to have fun with life exactly the way he did by creating the different personas.David taught me a lot of things and I am so lucky to have lived whilst he was alive, but I wish he would have still been here with us to continue his wonderful journey. I am glad he released BlackStar because I really needed that closure . Bowie seemed to know he was going to die and Lazarus was his  Goodbye .

Bowie taught me many things , he taught me to be original , be adventurous , work hard , don't follow trends set them and for the love of god don't take yourself too seriously.

I'm going to leave you with a few quotes to remember Bowie with :
I don't know where I'm going , but I promise you it won't be boring
I don't care what anybody says , I'm doing it and Its what I shall continue to do

Keep Bowie's memory alive .

DIY: Nail Strengthener and lengthener

I am going to confess that I am a nail bitter, yes I admit it. I know its a bad habit , but it happens unconsciously especially during stressful exams. So recently I have been attempting to actually look after my nails a little bit better and so thought that I would share with you guys 2 DIY's that I love that strengthen and lengthen the my nails !

To strengthen your nails you will need  a garlic and lemon mix. So basically what you need is two garlic cloves , 15 drops of lemon juice . Mix them together then place them into your clear nail polish , stir the mixture together and then apply onto your nails. I love this DIY as I feel that it is the best at hardening the nails I tend to remove the nail varnish after  3 days and give my nails a break to breath and would tend to massage on some olive oil into the cuticles.

To lengthen your nails you will need an orange (or lemon juice works just as fine) and once garlic clove (Crush it) and some olive oil . Then you should get a bowl to put all the ingredients in and then hopefully where you will be soaking your hand in , so make sure the bowl is not too small that your hands don't fit. So first things first squeeze the orange juice and put it into the bowl and then add your already crushed garlic into the bowl . Then that is your mixture sorted. Put the tips of your finger in the bowl for around 10-15 minutes for the mixture to soak in . Then once that is done, get rid of the mixture , pour it away and instead add some olive oil into the bowl and rest your hands in there for a 5- 10 minutes.
I recommend doing this 3 times a week for great results.

Hope you guys find this helpful . By the way how do you guys look after your cuticles ? xx
